An accomplished listee, Dr. Niccolini celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

An accomplished gastroenterologist with over 40 years of experience, Dr. Niccolini retired from medicine in 2014. He began his professional journey in 1971 as an intern at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Boston. His studies at the medical center advanced him to the position of gastrointestinal fellow in 1974, where he was honored by the medical interns and residents as the best teaching Fellow. Following this, he affiliated in a similar capacity at Faulkner Hospital, where he remained for one year before associating as a staff physician at Hale Hospital between 1976 and 2000. He was elected to Fellowship of the American College of Gastroenterology in 1990. Concurrently, Dr. Niccolini entered three other roles, all of which further contributed to his laudable reputation in medicine. He found success as a teaching assistant at Tufts University Medical School until 2000, was recognized for his teaching of medical interns and residents by the American Academy of Family Physicians in 1996, excelled as a senior staff physician at Lawrence General Hospital prior to 2010, and finally, contributed as a clinician with Pentucket Medical Associates as far as 2014.

Before formally entering his vocation, Dr. Niccolini studied at Johns Hopkins University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1967. He had initially intended to determine what branch of science he would want to pursue, taking courses in medical studies and biology and fulfilling the required for majors in both fields of science. He later decided to dedicate himself to gastroenterology because of its hands-on appeal. Now sure of his path, he continued his academic career at Tufts University School of Medicine, where he obtained a Doctor of Medicine in 1971, shortly before he began his internship at St. Elizabeth's. He graduated from Tufts with election to the top medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. He then passed the boards for both gastroenterology and internal medicine.

Towards the end of his career, Dr. Niccolini burnished his professional credentials with an appointment to serve as chief of the Merrimack Valley Endoscopy Center from 2004 to 2013. He has been recognized for his myriad contributions as one of America's Top Doctors in 2005 by the Consumer's Research Council of America, and for longevity in his field, he was honored with the 25 Year Membership Award from the American College of Gastroenterology in 2015. Throughout his professional endeavors, Dr. Niccolini maintained membership with various likeminded organizations, including the American Medical Association, the American College of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the New England Endoscopy Society, and the honor society of Alpha Omega Alpha.

Adjacent to his career, Dr. Niccolini enjoys such hobbies as skiing, hiking and writing. He is happily married to his wife, Nancy, and is the proud parent of five children from a previous marriage. He also has eleven grandchildren. Despite a remarkable record of excellence in medicine, he considers that the crowning achievement of his life is to have passed on a firm set of morals and ethics to his children.
