We strongly believe joining Sound combines the best of both of our operations, bolstering services provided to our patients and communities throughout Michigan.

TACOMA, WA, June 19, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sound Physicians, a national healthcare organization providing hospital medicine, emergency medicine, critical care, population health, telemedicine, and physician advisory services, acquired iNDIGO Health Partners, a leading provider of hospitalist, telemedicine, and post-acute services in Michigan.

The transaction, which closed June 18, includes programs in 9 hospitals, 10 skilled nursing facilities, and 12 assisted living facilities. Nearly 150 physicians, advanced practice providers, and business colleagues joined Sound Physicians. Combined, Sound Physicians has more than 750 clinicians and business colleagues who are committed to improving quality and reducing the cost of care for patients in the Great Lakes region.

"We are excited to welcome hospital partners and iNDIGO colleagues into the Sound family," said Joe Joseph, MD, Regional Chief Medical Officer for Sound Physicians. "By combining our respective strengths, we have the infrastructure and resources to advance our vision and mission for patients, doctors, advanced practice providers, hospital partners, and the communities we serve."

Troy Ahlstrom, MD, President for iNDIGO Health Partners, commented, "We strongly believe joining Sound combines the best of both of our operations, bolstering services provided to our patients and communities throughout Michigan. Meanwhile, our shared values and commitment to quality, service, excellence, and leadership remain aligned and undiminished."
