Adria Goldman Gross has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

    MONROE, NY, June 25, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Adria Goldman Gross has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. With more than 30 years of professional experience to her credit, Ms. Gross has excelled as the owner and chief executive officer of MedWise Insurance Advocacy, since 2007. Prior to establishing her own firm, she worked as a medical biller and collections specialist for Dr. Alan Biener from 2005 to 2008. She also served as a commercial lines customer service representative at the Walter Rose Agency from 1998 to 1999, and a junior underwriter for entertainment underwriting at American International Group from 1997 to 1998. She has been the leisure travel insurance administrator for accident and health underwriting with AIG from 1994 to 1997, and a senior claims analyst for accident and health claims from 1990 to 1994. Ms. Gross began her career as a claims supervisor with Access America in New York City from 1988 to 1990.
Ms. Gross began her education with Lesley University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in education in 1976. In addition to her degree, she is certified as a medical office assistant. Ms. Gross is also a New York State-licensed insurance broker and consultant, and a certified medical billing and medical claims expert.

A board member of the Insurance Professionals of Orange County, New York, Ms. Gross is affiliated with a number of organizations in relation to her areas of expertise, including the American Medical Billing Association, the Alliance of Claims Assistance Professionals, the Westchester Bar Association, The New York State Society of CPAs, Financial Planners Association of the Greater Hudson Valley, Leadership Orange Graduate and the American Academy of Professional Coders. She is on the board of directors of the Jewish Federation of Greater Orange County, NY.

An expert in her field, Ms. Gross has made her wisdom accessible to the public in the form of articles to such prominent publications and organizations as USA Today, the Huffington Post, The Boston Globe, the Philadelphia Inquirer, Fox News, the Washington Post, and Consumer Reports, as well as many others. Additionally, she co-authored such books as "Solved! Curing Your Medical Insurance Problems" and "Multi-Payer Medicine Nightmare Made in the USA." In 2011, Ms. Gross founded a chapter of the YMCA in Monroe, NY.

Throughout her career, Ms. Gross has been celebrated for her contributions to her field. She accepted the Insurance Professional of the Year Award by the Insurance Professionals of Orange County, New York in 2008. Ms. Gross was presented with the Pinnacle Leadership Orange Award in 2009. She was honored by WCBS Newsradio 880 as a Woman of Achievement in 2013. Ms. Gross obtained the Volunteer of the Year Award from the Mental Health Association of Orange County in 2011 and received a Special Award in Appreciation for Spirit, Drive, and Dedication in Bringing a Y Presence to Southern Orange County, NY, from the YMCA in 2013.

Overcoming encephalitis and frequent bouts of epilepsy as a child, as well as professional discrimination prior to the Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990, Ms. Gross initially wanted to seek a career as an educator before becoming active in the garment and insurance industry. In 1989, Ms. Gross had a left temporal lobectomy, which eventually shifted her focus toward the medical insurance industry and advocacy. Ms. Gross adopted her children from Vietnam. She attributes her success to her gratitude for the opportunity to turn her life around. She has high respect for people with disabilities. Looking toward the future, Ms. Gross wants to lecture, educate and speak positively to help others achieve happier lives while preventing them from going bankrupt due to medical expenses.
