Liquidware Showcases Microsoft WVD Application Layering at Microsoft Inspire

Cross OS Integration with FSLogix to be demonstrated on booth #1504 FlexApp Application Layering solution of choice for WVD

Many of our customers looking at moving to WVD are planning to embed Liquidware solutions in their overall deployment strategy.

LAS VEGAS, NV, July 15, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Liquidware, the leader in adaptive workspace management, today announced the latest version of its award winning ProfileUnity with FlexApp v6.8.3 that delivers new features including official FlexApp application layering support for Microsoft Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD) and cross OS integration with FSLogix. Liquidware is an inaugural partner of the Microsoft WVD ecosystem. The solution is also newly available on Microsoft's Azure Marketplace.

With this release, ProfileUnity and FlexApp will now deliver support for Windows 10 multi-session, Microsoft's new OS version that is purposefully designed for Microsoft WVD. Liquidware's Stratusphere UX User Experience monitoring and diagnostics solution is also compatible with WVD and the Windows 10 multi-session OS. The solutions are available in a popular adaptive workspace management suite known as Liquidware Essentials. Liquidware Essentials delivers enterprise workspace management for WVD or any Windows desktop (physical, virtual or cloud) and is cost-effectively priced as a subscription, providing full user environment management, application layering, and user experience monitoring.

ProfileUnity User Environment Management extends the functionality of Microsoft FSLogix to add cross-OS compatibility and fast backup and restore of profile containers, as well as centralized policy management with context awareness. When FSLogix and ProfileUnity are used together not only do users get fast logon times with their FSLogix profile container but profiles can also move seamlessly across Windows 7, 10, and Server 2012/16 RDS environments. FSLogix profile containers are also automatically backed up by ProfileUnity's portability feature and can easily be restored in the event of a profile corruption or user induced data loss in the profile. ProfileUnity includes tight integration with Microsoft Azure, enabling FSLogix profiles to be restored directly from Azure cloud storage. A demonstration of ProfileUnity and FSLogix working together in a Microsoft WVD environment is available at the Liquidware booth #1504.

"Delivering end user computing workspaces on demand from the cloud is enabling far more flexibility and agility for organizations," commented Jason E. Smith, VP Products Liquidware. "However, managing these workspaces and ensuring application availability and compatibility is critical for success. That is why many of our joint customers looking at moving to WVD are planning to embed Liquidware solutions in their overall deployment strategy. Our solutions provide seamless onboarding to WVD, ongoing monitoring and diagnostics, including user experience metrics, as well as user environment management and application layering."

Liquidware has recently authored a whitepaper entitled "An Introduction to Microsoft Windows Virtual Desktop" that includes an online cost calculator that gives organizations an idea of the estimated cost of WVD. Microsoft has also recently published a joint solution brief detailing how Liquidware complements WVD, both documents can be found here: https://www.liquidware.com/solutions/solutions-platform/microsoft

Liquidware plans to make ProfileUnity and FlexApp v6.8.3 generally available within 30 days.
