In addition to his primary roles, Dr. Koh found success as the director of the school from 2000 to 2002 and the dean from 2004 to 2006.
Dr. Koh initially pursued an education with the School of Dentistry at Kyung Hee University, where he obtained a Doctor of Dental Sciences in 1980. He continued his studies with the aforementioned school, earning a Master of Science in dentistry in 1985. Dr. Koh concluded his academic efforts in 1988, graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy from the department of oral and maxillofacial radiology.
A respected voice in his areas of interest, Dr. Koh has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations. He worked as a visiting professor with Osaka University Dental School and Malmo University Dental School. He was further active as the secretary general of the 8th Asian Congress of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. Dr. Koh has also held the positions of the president of the Korean Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and the chair of the certification committee at Korean Dental Education.
