Marguerita Cecelia Hindle Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

    WESTERLY, RI, August 06, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Marguerita Cecelia Hindle with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Hindle celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. With more than 50 years of experience in textile chemistry and consulting to her credit, Ms. Hindle has become an authority in her industry. Her career path began at Kenyon Industries as a textile chemist from 1950 to 1988, a laboratory director from 1960 to 1988, a research and development director from 1968 to 1988 and the vice president of research and development from 1978 to 1988. She ended her career in 2005 after 17 years as an independent textile consultant. Likewise, Ms. Hindle excelled as a member of the Textile Advisory Committee at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth from 1979 to 2008 and as the environmental committee chair of the American Textile Manufacturers Institute.

Prior to becoming an esteemed textile chemist, Ms. Hindle pursued higher education with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from the University of Rhode Island in 1949. She received an honorary Doctor of Science from the University of Rhode Island in 1993. Ms. Hindle is proud to have succeeded in a male-dominated industry and worked with a number of colleagues who accepted her. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Ms. Hindle remains informed of the changes and advancements in her industry through relevant organizations. She was the first woman national president of the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists from 1987 to 1988. Ms. Hindle was active as a member of the State Environmental Committee.

Notably, Ms. Hindle was honored with the Marguerita Hindle chapter of the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists. In light of her many achievements in the field, she has received a number of accolades throughout her career. Ms. Hindle has been featured in several editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in the World and Who's Who of American Women.
