OREM, UT, September 15, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lenny Lyons, who has served as the administrator of Intermountain Healthcare's Delta and Fillmore Hospitals, has been named the new administrator of Intermountain Orem Community Hospital.

Lyons replaces Francis Gibson, who was selected last year as the administrator of the new Intermountain Spanish Fork Hospital.

Lyons was selected from a field of strong candidates and will begin transitioning to his new role in the next few weeks. A search is underway to identify his replacement at Delta and Fillmore, according to Joe Mott, Intermountain Healthcare Vice President/COO for Specialty-Based Care.

"Lenny is a talented leader who is able to articulate a clear vision and then engage teams to work together to execute on that vision," said Mott. "He has overseen some impressive accomplishments at Delta and Fillmore hospitals, including earning the HealthInsight Quality award for both facilities last year."

During his tenure at Delta and Fillmore, Lyons helped the hospitals achieve impressive results in patient safety and experience. In 2018 both hospitals were recognized with the HealthInsight Quality awards.

"Under Lenny's leadership, Delta Hospital caregiver engagement scores improved significantly. In 2017, Lenny was recognized by Becker's Hospital Review on its list of the 60 Critical Access Hospital CEOs to Know. And last year he received the Intermountain Healthcare Live Well Hero award," Mott added.

Prior to his role at Delta and Fillmore hospitals, Lyons spent 18 years at Intermountain Heber Valley Hospital where he served as interim administrator and director of ancillary support services. Lyons earned a bachelor's in Behavioral Science and Health with an emphasis in Health Service Administration from the University of Utah and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
