Military Spouse Advocacy Network and Hiring Our Heroes Announce Partnership Supporting Military Spouses from Day One

Providing New Military Spouses Career & Employment Support From Day One

SAN ANTONIO, TX, October 02, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Military Spouse Advocacy Network (MSAN) and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) today announced their partnership to jointly provide new military spouses with career and employment support, as well as mentoring and professional development opportunities from day one. MSAN and HOH will work together to create national and local awareness of the importance of supporting and developing new military spouses. Through peer-to-peer mentorship, as well as providing vetted career and employment opportunities, they address one of the toughest military readiness issues. Together, they work to promote successful career transitions from civilian to military life. It is time to focus on supporting and empowering spouses to find gainful, educational and experience driven careers, early and often. New military spouses need and deserve a network of peers and professionals that will guide them to find valuable and fulfilling career and employment opportunities. Between the two organizations, they will provide opportunities to develop the youngest and future-focused generation of leaders and advocates in our communities wherever they may call home.

According to MSAN's New Military Spouse Intake Survey, 66% of new military spouses are in need of career and employment mentorship and support. With MSAN's established mentorship program, educational resources, and empowerment and HOH's Military Spouse Professional Networks, Amplify, and Military Spouse Economic Empowerment Zones, thousands of new military spouses will receive career and employment support virtually and within their local communities.

"We are excited and proud to partner with Hiring Our Heroes to provide new military spouses the resources they need and deserve to execute successful careers and employment transition from civilian to military life. Our organizations both share the same passion and dedication to support the vitality of the military spouse community. Our mentees will receive the peer-to-peer support, empowerment, mentorship, as well as the local and national resources they need and deserve from day one!" said Verenice Castillo, Founder, CEO & President at MSAN.
