Signarama Hallandale Partners with Mobile School Pantry to Help End Hunger

HALLANDALE, FL, October 09, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In South Florida, one in five children are food insecure, but Mobile School Pantry (MSP), a 501(c)3 and volunteer-driven non-profit, is on a mission to help these children and their families by offering access to nutritious food and resources with the help of Signarama—the world's leading sign franchise. On October 9, 2019, Signarama Hallandale will be launching a bus makeover project in support of Mobile School Pantry by donating a customized wrap for a school bus that MSP will utilize to transport food and offer services for those in need.

"We believe in the idea that we are all connected in one way or another," said Adriana Azzolini and Alejandro Cascarano, Franchisees of Signarama Hallandale. "We are very thankful for everything and a way to show our appreciation is by giving back to our community with different nonprofit organizations. There is so much we can all do to give back and help in our community; it can be through volunteering in hands on projects, donating services, products and/or money to help support schools, families in distress, feeding kids, our environment or any cause you believe in."

Signarama Hallandale was first introduced to Mobile School Pantry and its founder Zeina Zein-Wolland, nearly four years ago when they were asked to donate banners for a last-minute event. After hearing the passion in Zein-Wolland's voice and devotion to her cause, one that Azzolini and Cascarano also strongly believe in, they decided to help. Since then, MSP has grown significantly and spread the joy of healthy food in local schools and communities. When Signarama Hallandale learned about the school bus for distributions, they knew they wanted to help brand it!

Signarama is designing and producing the wrap at their Hallandale location, 730 W. Hallandale Beach Blvd, Unit 104. The vinyl wrap material was donated by Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions, a global leader in material manufacturing designed to meet virtually any graphics need. The customized wrap will cover the bus from front to back and offer Mobile School Pantry much-needed branding. The bus, which was also generously donated by AFT – American Federation of Teachers, AFSCME, and Broward Teachers union, will be stocked with fruits, vegetables and non-perishable items that are arranged farmer's market-style and made available for families in the service area.

"We're both proud and thankful to be able to support this cause that will certainly have a positive impact in the community," said Abby Monnot, senior global segment manager, Avery Dennison Graphics Solutions, North America. "We hope that this completed project will inspire other acts of generosity."

"As a fellow South Florida organization, Mobile School Pantry and its efforts to end hunger truly hits home for Signarama," said A.J. Titus, President of Signarama. "We are grateful to have the opportunity to give back to a community that has supported us so greatly throughout the years and to be able to lend our time and services for an issue that affects so many of our neighbors."

Mobile School Pantry will unveil the new bus wrap at their 5th Anniversary Event on October 17. The bus is anticipated to begin making appearances beginning January 2020. MSP works with Title 1 schools to schedule pop-up events, where children and their families may select the items they need. The organization also offers services and access to resources that can help them achieve long-term solutions for ending hunger.

Since Mobile School Pantry's humble beginnings, Adriana and Alex at Signarama, Hallandale have been ongoing supporters. From supporting our annual events with their dedication to quality service, exceptional product design and love for community, to their advocacy on the issues of hunger here in South Florida and now our Mobile School Pantry Bus wrap. They answer the call to give again and again, and help us with our mission of sustainability. Being able to partner with global businesses like Signarama and Avery Dennison, that are greatly invested in our mission, and our long-term vision, is the key to expand Mobile School Pantry's reach and really brings this project home. With partners like these, it will hopefully generate awareness of our mission on a global scale. HUNGER is the problem and We are the solution.
