A retired business and industry center director of 25 years, Ms. Moylan worked on the Elgin Community College campus between 1974 and 2004. Originally a part-time, local government training coordinator, she later moved into business training when she was acquired by the college. During her tenure, Ms. Moylan served as the director of corporate sales, where she worked closely with local businesses. As a community leader, Ms. Moylan spent eight years as a councilwoman for the City of Elgin between 1985 and 1993. She also served on the board of the Gail Borden Library, the Gail Borden Library Foundation and Pads of Elgin, as the chairperson of the women's council with the Elgin Chamber of Commerce and is currently on the ethics committee of St. Joseph Hospital and president of the Dukane Council in Geneva, Illinois. Further, Ms. Moylan remains a member of her local rotary, where she once served as the president and is a member of the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation, the Renz Addiction Counseling Center and the United Way of Elgin.
Ms. Moylan attended Loyola University where she received a Bachelor of Science in 1964. Several decades later, she acquired a Master of Arts at Northern Illinois University in 1999. In 1988, she was named Political Leader of the Year by the Association for Individual Development. A celebrated Marquis listee, Ms. Moylan has been featured in the fourth edition of Who's Who in American Education and the 17th edition of Who's Who of American Women.
