Berman Fink Van Horn Hosts Industrial Leadership Council's Seminar, "Industrial Economic Outlook"

    ATLANTA, GA, October 16, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Last month Berman Fink Van Horn was host to three key events at its office in Buckhead/Atlanta, including:

Industrial Leadership Council. Industrial leaders joined the morning seminar, "Industrial Economic Outlook: 4 Key Issues that will Impact the C-Suite in 2020," for a discussion led by Economist Mike Skordeles, Director, U.S. Macro Strategist, Sun Trust Advisory Services, Inc. – Investment Advisory Group. Sponsors included Moore Colson CPAs and Advisors, SunTrust, Palmer & Cay and Berman Fink Van Horn.

Discussion topics included the trade war's impact on industrials and the economy; supply chain challenges and transportation cost trends; navigating the increasingly complex issues surrounding specialized labor, outsourcing and automation; and determining if a recession is near.

Industrial Leadership Council is an Atlanta-based not-for-profit organization founded in 2018 to educate Atlanta's current and future industrial leaders. In this joint venture, founding partners Moore Colson CPAs and Advisors, SunTrust, Palmer & Cay and Berman Fink Van Horn, provide an exclusive forum for executives to learn from industry leaders and to share insights as well as best practices impacting the industrial community.

Emory Law@Work. For the last five years, Berman Fink Van Horn has received an award from Emory Law for 100% participation in annual fund giving by the firm's Emory Law alumni. Effective October 1, 2019, a new challenge is in place and Berman Fink Van Horn hosted an event to rally support and camaraderie for the new challenge. The new challenge runs until March 31, 2020.

The challenge centers around a friendly competition among firms/companies across the nation to support Emory's Law School Fund for Excellence. It raises annual unrestricted resources that allow the law school to fund its most pressing needs, including, but not limited to, scholarships; academic programs and initiatives; faculty support and research; student organizations and activities; professional development and career services; and public interest programs.

Business Executives for National Security (BENS). Berman Fink Van Horn Shareholder, Jeff Berman, hosted a special reception for current and prospective members of BENS, a nonpartisan nonprofit comprised of senior business and industry executives who apply best business practices to address the nation's pressing security challenges.
