During the Thanksgiving season Sister Mable personally cooks a complete dinner for over two hundred families and individuals each year.
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, October 18, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sister Mable Stoss has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. A devoted member of the church, Sister Stoss has created a way for her to contribute to the community. Sister Stoss worked as a maid and housekeeper supervisor supporting two children through college. After they graduated, Sister Mable went back to college and graduated with a degree in Computer Science, as she excelled. In 1990 during her senior year in college Sister Mable founded and established a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, "The Free Food Pantry, Inc. & Educational Center." Sister Mable attended Oklahoma City Junior College and Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, OK.
The Free Food Pantry, Inc. & Educational Center is the only non-profit in Oklahoma City (to their knowledge) that delivers on a regular basis to sick, disabled senior citizens and home bound. During the Thanksgiving season Sister Mable personally cooks a complete dinner for over two hundred families and individuals each year. After the dinner, she distributes Thanksgiving baskets to the needy families and Individuals. In 2005 Mr. Chris Goad at Regal Car Sales and Credit donated a van to her organization to continue her good work.
Two years ago, Sister Mable cooked an extra Christmas dinner for a homeless family of four and carried it to her and her children where they were staying with her friend.
Sister Stoss' work is much appreciated by the Oklahoma City community, having been celebrated as a three-time award winner for outstanding work and dedication by Dr. Bishop Malcolm W. Colby and Mother Patricia Chris. She has accepted the Spirit Award. In November 2018 Sister Stoss received an award from The House of Representatives. Sister Stoss is truly dedicated. She has never had a vacation in her life. Sister Mable quotes Mark Twain saying, "Kindness is something a blind person can see and a deaf person can hear." Sister Stoss believes that life is a gift from God and that people need to do positive things with their lives to help enhance and encourage others in a positive manner.
The Free Food Pantry, Inc. & Educational Center is in its Thanksgiving and Christmas season. If you can help, your tax deductible donation is highly and humbly appreciated. The organization is also seeking someone to donate an F-150 truck to help them continue this worthwhile cause.
100% of all donations go to assist those in devastating situations. None of her board members are paid, including Sister Stoss. They are blessed with people who wish to help others. Everyone is a volunteer.
