Singer-Songwriter ABBY BROWN Releases New EP, Heart on Fire October 25th

Second Release by the Critically-Acclaimed Talent is Already Turning Reviewer Heads in Americana Land

"Brown has a rich, clear alto that ... resembles Emmylou (Harris')." Jim Hynes

NASHVILLE, TN, October 23, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Not even congenital hearing loss was going to stop Abby Brown from becoming an all-around singer, musician and stage performer. Born prematurely and surviving numerous spinal surgeries before the age of 11, Abby persisted and found her true calling in music – and never wavered from pursuing her dream even at an age when she could barely fit her fingers around a six-string. Based on the critically-acclaimed success of her debut EP "Gypsy Soul", which has achieved very strong Spotify plays and numerous pick-ups across the social media landscape, Brown releases her second EP on the Pure Music Nashville label October 25th.

John Heithaus, Pure Music Nashville partner, said: "We're so very pleased to announce Abby's EP, HEART ON FIRE, which features three Americana-themed songs written by Abby, complemented by an artful cover of Maren Morris' "Sugar." We were very fortunate to have an A-List studio crew of Nashville-based musicians and engineers join us." The song "Love, Release Me" features both a full studio version, featuring members of the Nashville Symphony and a solo 'unplugged" version.

Stream and buy at Abby's website as well as your favorite music app like Spotify, Apple Music, Google, Pandora and many others across the globe.

Here's what some reviewers have already posted:

"An effusive cover of Maren Morris' "Sugar" provides but one highlight, but Brown's own offerings, especially the upbeat "Every Day of My Life" and the feisty title track are equally infectious." Lee Zimmerman

"Abby's voice has an appealing rasp and (her) elastic vocals split the difference between Torch and Twang." Eleni P. Austin

"Brown has a rich, clear alto that somewhat resembles Emmylou (Harris')." Jim Hynes

"Let's hope airwaves make a little room for the lovely Abby Brown." Dan MacIntosh

The EP features the following musicians:

Abby Brown: lead vocals, backing vocals, acoustic guitar and percussion
Ethan Ballinger: acoustic guitars, mandolins and tenor guitar
Brother Paul Brown: B3, Yamaha synth, piano and Rhodes
John Heithaus: electric bass
Peter Young: drums & percussion
Love, Release Me: Maria Conti: violin, arrangement, Charles Dixon: viola, Emily Nelson: cello
Sugar: Sarah & Rachel Hambridge: backing vocals

Produced by John Heithaus and Pete Young
Engineered by Preston Tate White
Recorded at Zac Brown's Southern Ground & Mastered at Independent Mastering, Nashville.
