Southwestern Illinois Business Owner Peer Advisory Super Board Adding New Members

The Super Board process is laser focused on helping small to mid-sized companies accelerate growth through proven peer advisory practices.

ST. LOUIS, MO, October 25, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rick Cottrell, CEO of, announces he is expanding the Business Owner "Super Board" Peer Advisory group in Southwestern Illinois. The Super Board process, facilitated by Cottrell, is laser focused on helping small to mid-sized companies accelerate growth through proven peer advisory practices. This includes the tools and disciplines necessary to help its members break through the ceiling and get their businesses to next level success.

Super Board members are from non-competitive industries and are bound by mutual confidentiality. The Super Board process includes a monthly ½ day peer advisory board meeting preceded by an individual executive session. The group works together to solve problems and challenges, they share best practices and help each other identify and execute on potential opportunities. Super Board meetings are held at the Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville, IL. The Board wants to add a few more members before it closes out participation.

"The leaders that are admitted into the Super Board process must be open, honest, transparent and vulnerable. This isn't about ego, but rather a group of people that are not satisfied with the status quo in their businesses and are driven to achieve next level success," Cottrell said.

The Super Board process includes proven systems, tools, disciplines and practices that will absolutely turn any company in any industry into a predictably scalable and profitable machine. As the owner of numerous businesses and developer of the original platform, Rick has brought together and integrated The Alternative Board or TAB Peer Advisory platform with the Entrepreneurial Operating System® or EOS®, his proprietary business intelligence platform (BizScan®), and a proprietary human capital benchmarking process that ensures a company has the Right People in the Right Seats.

"We want to make sure that we can help develop a clear vision for each member company. The tools are designed to ensure optimal business performance. The tools work and will help maximize opportunities and avoid costly mistakes." Says Cottrell.

Cottrell added that the "Super Board" process is not for the weak of heart. "Business owners and leaders without a growth driven mindset need not apply. It is unfortunate, but, we have found that over 80% of small to mid-size businesses are not capitalizing on their full potential, they are stuck in the status quo or hitting the ceiling and not knowing what's next. Our Super Board members have found clarity with their businesses, but also enjoy an enviable work life balance. A major plus."

Not every business will qualify but those who have been admitted have generated outstanding results. Many have grown by double digits, some even more.

Brian Wort, board member and owner of AAA Tool and Machine in O'Fallon, IL said, "Sometimes you don't want to talk about these issues with your team so it's nice to have somebody else you can talk to. I have worked with Rick over two years and we have seen over 40% growth, which is fantastic." (See Wort's interview on working with Cottrell at

"Our business grew 42% in 2018 overall and net grew 1000% from the previous year," said Dr. Julie Steinhauer, OD, FCOVD, owner of Vision For Life in Glen Carbon, IL and a board member. It represents the biggest jump in our 16 years of ownership. We owe a lot to Rick Cottrell and our peer board. I would highly recommend joining this group."

Karen Sroka, board member and owner of My Scratch Offs in Swansea IL said, "There is a science involved to business growth and profitability, and having these business resources on board is truly invaluable. With Rick at the cortex, combined with the other board members, we are able to build on what we are really good at and accomplish our goals."

Business owners must meet various criteria to be accepted into a "Super Board". For additional information send an email to or through
