Alsco Teams Up with Boys and Girls Club to Help Teens Train for Tomorrow

Donation supports current efforts and future growth of the T3 program

We want to be able to support their efforts and help give teens the skills they need to be self-sufficient citizens. -- Bill Inge, General Manager of the Eugene Oregon Branch

EUGENE, OR, October 25, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Boys and Girls Club of Corvallis, Oregon works hard to prepare club member youth to graduate from high school and to be work and college ready. As part of these efforts, the Club has a Training Teens for Tomorrow (T3) program that provides workshops to help teens gain real-world experience and improve their hireability.

The program gives teens opportunities to learn how to write resumes, conduct job searches, explore potential career pathways, and connect teens to real-world, high-paying opportunities. However, many youth can't participate because they live in isolated, rural communities and lack transportation to and from summer employment opportunities. To help, in addition to running its T3 program, the Boys and Girls Club of Corvallis is also working to raise enough funds to purchase a van that can be used to provide transportation to the teens who need it most.

The Alsco Eugene Branch has stepped in to help support the Club's important goals with a donation. "The Boys and Girls Club gives kids a safe place to grow," says Bill Inge, General Manager of the Eugene Oregon Branch. "We want to be able to support their efforts and help give teens the skills they need to be self-sufficient citizens."

"The value of the T3 program is also clear by the results it's produced," says Inge. To date, 100% of T3 teens graduate from high school on-time and go on to secure their own jobs. The program currently serves 260 teens with a goal to serve 300 by 2020. Alsco is honored to support their current efforts, and to encourage the future growth of the T3 program.
