David Danforth, MD, Celebrates More Than 45 Years of Professional Excellence

Dr. David Danforth has published over 100 clinical and scientific articles and has received many accolades for his achievements.

    BETHESDA, MD, December 04, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- David Danforth has been included in Marquis Who's Who. With more than 45 years of professional experience to his credit, Dr. Danforth has excelled with the National Institutes of Health's National Cancer Institute as a senior investigator since 1985 and a senior staff fellow since 1980, and presently as an Associate Research Physician since 2012. Prior to these roles, he worked as a surgical fellow with the M.D. Anderson Hospital from 1979 to 1980 and a clinical associate with the National Institutes of Health from 1974 to 1977. Earlier in his career, he found success as an intern and resident with The New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center from 1971 to 1974, returning to these roles from 1977 to 1979. Moreover, Dr. Danforth served as a lieutenant commander with the United States Public Health Service from 1974 to 1976.

Dr. Danforth initially pursued an education with Northwestern University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 1965. He continued his studies with the University of New Mexico, earning a Master of Science in 1967. He subsequently concluded his academic efforts at Northwestern University, graduating with a Doctor of Medicine in 1971. Moreover, Dr. Danforth is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery.

A respected voice in his areas of interest, Dr. Danforth has been affiliated with a number of professional organizations. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Likewise, Dr. Danforth is active as a member of the Society of Surgical Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Association of Cancer Research, and the American Society of Breast Surgeons.

Throughout his career, Dr. Danforth has been recognized for his exemplary contributions in his field. He has published over 100 clinical and scientific articles and has received many accolades for his achievements.
