'Tsa HO fa' Podumentary Set to Debut on New Year's Eve, Namesake Organization Returns to Nasdaq for 2020 Fundraising Push

    SANTA MARIA, CA, December 20, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Santa Maria-based Tsa HO fa is a consortium of Traditional Indian Educators, and was established to offer multiple grant programs in order to provide American Indian children with academic outreach and support. Primarily it helps families across a 2,700 square-mile radius in the Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties to attend public schools. Tsa HO fa supports members from all 566 federally recognized tribes.

Since its formation in 1993, the organization has been able to provide tutoring programs, cultural programs, workshops, resources, and referrals as well as providing educational and social services support. Tsa HO fa currently serves over 1,900 children, and to celebrate entering their 18th year of support they are launching a new donation platform. This will allow them to raise additional funding to support even more children.

Dedicated to helping create and establish a positive Native American Identity in children, Tsa HO fa promotes cultural awareness and sensitivity within schools and the local community. Children also have access to tutoring and mentoring plans as well as counseling, foster placement, and juvenile court assistance.

To help promote this exciting, new push for funding in 2020, Tsa HO fa is also launching its brand new, timely Podumentary online radio show with its CEO/CFO, Doni-Jo Minor-Munro at the helm. The idea for the show was born after Doni-Jo fought back literally for her life after contracting a quadruple strain of flu, which saw her hospitalized earlier this year. Against all odds, her life was transformed after recovery. She returned home and was almost immediately granted the coveted honor of White Bison Master Facilitator amongst her people. This all was happening in conjunction with her fast-expanding place in the mainstream news media.

During a fateful visit to Washington D.C. as part of the three-day 'A Day on the Hill' Native American-focused initiative, the seeds were planted; seeds which would ultimately grow into the 'Tsa HO fa: Conversations with Doni-Jo Minor-Munro' series. The groundbreaking Podumentary format (as pioneered by Ms. Munro's dedicated marketing and production affiliates) will allow her to share the work of Tsa HO fa more than ever before, in addition to exploring in-depth the challenges and hardships faced by the American Indian population at large. Episode One will be launched this coming New Year's Eve, December 31, 2019, and will give virtual snapshots into the fascinating life of Doni-Jo Minor-Munro, including her meteoric rise in the public eye and the incredible work she has done in the community. Most importantly, though, it is about the beneficiaries of the programs set up by Tsa HO fa, and the overall plight of Ms. Munro's people in 2020 and beyond.

Always one to keep a high profile for her organization, Doni-Jo Minor-Munro—with the help of her marketers—carried out the largest Tsa HO fa promotion to date on Friday, December 13, 2019. The iconic Nasdaq MarketSite digital billboard display screened a jaw-dropping, show-stopping, two-page advertisement during the afternoon. New Yorkers and non-New Yorkers alike who witnessed the event felt the appearance itself was a reassuring commentary on how far the American Indian people have come, but at the same time a sobering reminder of how much farther they still have to go as a persecuted people. Speaking ahead of the new series launch, Ms. Munro added: "We're really excited about launching our four-part Podumentary series, and kick-starting 2020 in the best way possible! Since our launch we've been able to help thousands of children on a limited budget, so these increased funds will ensure we can reach even more people in need.

Asked by an interviewer if Tsa HO fa will survive in the long term, Ms. Munro stated pointedly, "We have to."
