Mr. Hall is a beverage company executive with more than 40 years of experience in the food and beverage manufacturing industry. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in natural sciences at Oxford University in 1974, and a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1976. Mr. Hall has been a member of the board of Glatfelter (NYSE: GLT) since 2002, and has sat on the boards of numerous other public and private companies including Ault Foods, Wise Foods, Taco Bueno, Yucatan Foods, Castro Cheese and Frozen Specialties.
In 1976, Mr. Hall began his career with Nestle as a brand assistant based in White Plains, New York. He rose to become a product manager in 1977, group product manager in 1981, and business director from 1983 to 1985. In 1985, he served as the director of strategic planning and business development of Kraft, Ltd., Montreal, Canada. He was promoted to VP & business unit manager of Kraft, Ltd. in 1986, a position he also held at Kraft General Foods, Toronto until 1992 when he became the vice president of cheese strategy for the U.S. market in 1992.
From 1992 to 1993, Mr. Hall continued his career as the president of Christie Brown and Co, Toronto, and the president of the Nabisco Specialty Products Company in Parsippany, NJ, between 1993 and 1995. He was the president of Lenox Brands, from 1996 until 1998, and the chief executive officer of Ardale Enterprises from 1998 to 2013 during which time he served as an operating executive for Palladium Equity Partners and senior advisor to Centerview Capital before becoming a managing director of Centerview Capital between 2014 and 2016. He has been the chief executive officer of Ole Smoky Distillery since 2016 and is a member of the board of the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States and a member of the board of the Boys & Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains.
