She attended Chestnut Hill College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree; she married immediately after her graduation. After discussing her husband's career trajectory with a friend in the real estate industry, Joanne was advised that she should consider becoming a Realtor herself.
After completing her training and licensure, Joanne received several job offers, eventually taking a counter offer from her friend's firm, Roach Brothers. She found continued success over the past 30 years in the real estate business with BHHS Fox & Roach, Realtors. She attributes her professional success to an abiding dedication to hard work and assisting others.

Joanne is a member of the board of directors of Chestnut Hill College, a position she considers a career highlight. She has been named a 2019 Top Real Estate Producer by Philadelphia Magazine, and a member of the Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Chairman's Circle. In light of her outstanding performance in the field, Joanne is the recipient of the PREA 100 Award honoring her as one of the top 100 Realtors in the United States.
