A respected voice in the food and restaurant industry, Mr. Chrostowski is the founder, the chief executive officer and the president of EDWINS Leadership and Restaurant Institute. Since 2007, the nonprofit organization has been active as both a French restaurant and a culinary institute located in Cleveland's Shaker Square. Dedicated to bettering lives through education, the institute notably trains former prison inmates and was the subject of the 2017 Academy Award-nominated documentary "Knife Skills."

That same year, he accepted the Volunteer of the Year Award from the Grafton Correctional Institute, the Frank J. Battisi Memorial Award, and the Smart 50 Award. He worked as a private chef for Donald and Barbara Tober in New York in 2001 and as a stagier at Lucas Carton in Paris in 2002. Mr. Chrostowski further served as a chef de partie at Saucier Picholine in New York from 2002 to 2003.

A certified sommelier and a fromager, Mr. Chrostowski pursued an education at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, earning an Associate's degree in culinary arts in 2001 and a Bachelor's degree in business management in 2004. Driven by the belief that every human being, regardless of their past, has the right to a fair and equal future, Mr. Chrostowski believes that EDWINS Leadership and Restaurant Institute is a testimony of what human beings can accomplish if given the chance. He became involved in his profession because of the loss of his own freedom and dignity while serving a sentence. However, it was then restored through the food industry, which gave him a purpose and a new direction in life. The highlight of Mr. Chrostowski's life has been his marriage to his wife, Catana, with whom he has had two children, Leo and Lilly. Looking toward the future, Mr. Chrostowski would like to continue his current mission while visiting new cities as a consultant and expanding his endeavors nationwide.
