New Website Helps Triangle High School Seniors and Their Families Navigate Senior Year

TriangleSeniorYear.com offers a directory of local businesses relevant to high school seniors and their families. The site also provides articles, tips, tools and advice on several topics, with a focus on the college application process.

CARY, NC, January 29, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A new website for high school seniors and their families in the Triangle called TriangleSeniorYear.com was launched this week. The site offers a directory of local businesses that students might have a need for during their senior year. It includes everything from tutors and college admissions counselors to photographers, florists and formal-wear shops. And, many of the listed businesses are locally or family-owned.

"The idea developed last fall as my daughter Kelsey started her senior year at Green Hope High School. There were so many fun senior events and traditions as school started, and at the same time many of the kids launched right into the college application process. There's a lot happening, for students and parents, and I felt like there was a need for a resource to help manage all of it," said publisher Julie Stallman.

In addition to the business directory, visitors can also find relevant information like graduation dates and details for many area schools, tips for writing a college essay, and suggested paperwork to complete when your student turns 18. Several pages on the site are dedicated to the college application process including a College Application Guide written by Deb Ryan owner of Empower Triangle Tutoring.

"This is going to be an amazing resource for our Triangle families," commented Ryan.

Although the focus of the site is resources for seniors and their families, there is also valuable information for underclassmen as they move closer to their final year of high school. Stallman plans to add new content weekly and expects new businesses and vendors will join the site each week.

All area students and families are invited to browse the site at www.TriangleSeniorYear.com, and follow the site on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
