Sex Trafficking Victims Finally Have a Safe Place in North Texas at the Treasured Vessels Foundation

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Launches First Community for Sex Trafficking Survivors

We really don't have enough specific solutions for an exploited and trafficked woman. We are going to do this right. -- Alicia Bush, Founder and CEO of Treasured Vessels Foundation

DALLAS, TX, February 05, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Human sex trafficking accounts for over 314,000 victims in the state of Texas alone every year with includes 79,000 minor and youth victims of this horrific tragedy. Texas is the second highest in the nation for number of calls to the National Human Trafficking Resources Center. Treasured Vessels Foundation is privileged to provide one of the only long-term solutions for survivors of domestic sex trafficking in North Texas, which include counties Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, Denton, and Grayson.

Treasured Vessels Foundation was created to provide trauma-informed, individualized care that is essential in the healing and recovery process for survivors of domestic sex trafficking. Their home will have room for up to 8 individuals, ages 18-24 years old. "Once a woman is rescued, people just kind of put a bandage on it or pigeonhole her in a substance and alcohol abuse rehab or some sort of other shelter. We really don't have enough specific solutions for an exploited and trafficked woman. We are going to do this right. We are going to do this together as a community," says Alicia Bush, Founder and CEO of Treasured Vessels Foundation.

On Friday, February 7, 2020, at 12 p.m., Treasured Vessels Foundation (TVF) will celebrate the completion of their first residential community for survivors of domestic sex trafficking with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony presented by the Frisco Chamber of Commerce. The ceremony will take place at Venture X at the address of 6735 Salt Cedar Way, Building 1, Suite 300 Frisco, Texas 75034 at 12 pm.
