J. Jacek Figwer is a Fellow of the Acoustical Society of America and a Fellow of the Audio Engineering Society

With more than 65 years of professional experience, Dr. Figwer has been the principal consultant of Jacek Figwer Associates, Inc., in Concord since 1978. Prior to establishing this firm, he was a supervisor and consultant with Bolt Beranek and Newman in Cambridge, Massachusetts from 1962 to 1978, and an engineer in research and development with Deutsche Grammophon GmbH in Hannover, Germany from 1960 to 1962. Earlier in his career, he was an engineer of research and development in the motion picture industry in Warsaw, Poland, from 1951 to 1960.
Dr. Figwer began his career as a student at Silesian University of Technology in Poland, where he obtained a Master of Science in electrical engineering in 1951. He continued his studies with the USSR Cinema and Photo Research Institute (NIKFI) in Moscow, graduating as a Doctor of Engineering in applied acoustics in 1958.
Throughout his career, Dr. Figwer has been recognized for his contributions. A Fellow of the Acoustical Society of America and a Fellow of the Audio Engineering Society, he was featured in the second edition of Who's Who in Science and Engineering in 1993.
