Celebrating nearly 40 years as an artist and designer, Ms. Bundi is renowned as a successful art director, a graphic designer, an applications designer and the owner of Left Handed Art in Port Washington, NY, since 2019. Recently retiring from the Meredith Corporation in New York City as the digital production manager after nearly a decade of service, her career began in 1985 as a creative director for Coastal Communications in New York City. Ms. Bundi subsequently held positions with CMP Public/Var Business Computer Systems News in Manhasset, NY, Information Week Magazine, Suede Magazine and MetroSource Magazine.
Additionally, Ms. Bundi taught graphic design and media arts at The Gibbs School, where she chaired the web design, digital media and animation departments and flourished as the program director of the school's design and animation center between 2001 and 2003. With a portfolio that has included working with such profound companies as Time Inc. and Conde Nast, she has also notably created mobile and tablet applications for publications like Fortune Magazine and Sports Illustrated, as well as companies like Ford Motor Company and Navistar Trucking and institutions such as Harvard Medical School. As an art director and designer, Ms. Bundi has created images for such publications as Golf for Women.
As an artist, Ms. Bundi enjoys painting in oils and acrylics and drawing in pastels. Her collection includes beautiful, colorful landscapes, figure studies and a series of animal paintings featuring her cat, Jorge Posada, who was named after the legendary New York Yankees catcher. Ms. Bundi's artwork was recently displayed in fine art shows at the Barnes Gallery in Garden City, NY, at the Garden City Public Library in Garden City in 2019 and at the Art Guild Show Her Story in March 2020.
A graduate of Saint John's University with a Bachelor of Arts in communication arts in 1984, Ms. Bundi obtained a Master of Fine Arts in graphic design at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan in 1987. She is notably proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, QuarkXpress, Woodwing, Inception and CrossIP. Ms. Bundi is further affiliated with the Graphic Artist Guild, the Society of Illustrators, the Art Director's Club and the MacIntosh User's Group.
Throughout her career, Ms. Bundi has been recognized with multiple Print Design Awards and Ozzie Design Awards through Magazine Design and Production between 1988 and 2000. Notably, she was presented with seven Excellence in Design Awards from the Society of Publication Designers between 1987 and 1999 and four Excellence in Design Awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors between 1997 and 2000.
