Dr. Laura Heintz is renowned as an expert in family and social services administration with more than 25 years of service to her clients and community.

    SACRAMENTO, CA, March 31, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Laura Heintz, PsyD, has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. Dr. Heintz is renowned as an expert in family and social services administration with more than 25 years of service to her clients and community. Raised in a family with adopted and foster children, she became acutely aware of the value of appropriate and accessible social services at a young age, and views her work as inherently personal. Initially obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in human development from the University of the Pacific, she subsequently earned a Master of Arts in holistic studies from John F. Kennedy University. Following these accomplishments, Dr. Heintz graduated with a Doctor of Psychology from the Professional School of Psychology.

In 2000, Dr. Heintz founded the Yolo Crisis Nursery, where she would remain active as a program manager through 2005 and the executive director of residential services until 2008. She was later appointed as the executive director of the Capital region of FamiliesFirst, Inc. in 2008, and Uplift Family Services in 2009. From 2010 to 2012, Dr. Heintz found further success as the regional director of the Northern California Victor Treatment Centers.

Since 2012, Dr. Heintz has excelled as the legacy leader and trainer at the Building Bridges Initiative, an organization providing culturally-competent and outcome-driven care with industry-unique accountability procedures. She has additionally flourished as the chief executive officer of Stanford Sierra Youth & Families since 2012, and works to provide mental and behavioral health support, as well as foster care and adoption services, for at-risk youth including those exiting the juvenile justice system. Furthermore, Dr. Heintz is the president of the California Alliance for Children and Families and a member of the board of the California Mental Health Advocates for Children and Youth.
