Dr. Mothersole attended Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York, where she obtained the Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy, Magna Cum Laude, in 1973. She thereafter attended Columbia University in the City of New York where she completed the Master of Arts Degree in Philosophy in 1976. Pursuing advanced professional education, Dr. Mothersole obtained the Master of Arts Degree in Psychology in 1993 and the Ph.D. Degree in Psychology in 1998 from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. She obtained licensure as a clinical psychologist by the Board of Psychology, State of California, in 2004.
Dr. Mothersole is currently a member of the American Psychological Association, the International Association of Relational Psychoanalysts and Psychotherapists and the California Department of Industrial Medicine. Philanthropically, she supports the Vassar College Alumnae Fund and the Columbia University Alumnae Fund and is a patron of the Saint Matthews Episcopal Music Guild in Pacific Palisades, California.
Dr. Mothersole has dedicated her professional career to providing quality treatment for patients and attributes her success to an abiding passion for psychoanalytic theory and practice.
