Notably, Ms. Gallo's work has not only garnered rave reviews by a worldwide audience, but have been released as audiobooks narrated by the author herself.

Prior to her career as an independent writer, Ms. Gallo worked for more than 15 years as an elementary school teacher operating out of the Northampton, Massachusetts, and Davis, California, regions while balancing her responsibilities as a loving wife and the mother of two wonderful children. Since 2009, she has additionally served as the editor for The Derelict Voice, a multiple-volume publication producing the results of a writing group that she organized for the local homeless population. Moreover, she flourished as a screenwriter and an independent production consultant between 2009 and 2013. Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Gallo pursued an education at Clark University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English in 1967.

Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Ms. Gallo has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She has found much success as a member of the advisory committee for the Museum of Northern California Art. A Manhattan native, she contributed to myriad social and civil causes across the West Coast throughout the 1960s and 1970s. Additionally, Ms. Gallo maintains her activity on her family's property in Carpinteria and orchards in Chico, California.

In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Gallo has accrued several accolades throughout her impressive career. In 2006, she was recognized as the Charter School Teacher of the Year in Sacramento County. Ms. Gallo's writings have also been celebrated by such media outlets as Readers' Favorite, the Chico Enterprise-Record and Emerald Book Reviews, among others.

Inspired by multiple mentors, including authors Frank McCourt and Carson McCullers, Ms. Gallo has overcome various hardships throughout her life, including personal tragedies, but has persevered and perpetually moved in a positive direction. Having harbored the aspirations to become a writer since her high school years, she is proud to have made a living as an educator, fondly recalling curating her own curriculum while teaching in Sacramento. Looking toward the future, Ms. Gallo hopes to continue thriving and crafting her voice as an author.
