Having accrued more than 50 years of inimitable expertise as an actuary, Mr. Kischuk has distinguished himself in his position as the president of Crown Point Management Consultants Inc. since 1987, having provided strategic financial advisory services to senior executives of some of the largest life insurance companies in the U.S. and Canada. He attended the University of Michigan, earning a Bachelor of Science in 1969, and completed a Master of Actuarial Science in 1971 after realizing that his intended career, research science, would not suit his extroverted personality. He passed the actuarial exams at the age of 24, a feat he considers to be a career highlight. In 1979, Mr. Kischuk was bestowed with a Master of Science in business administration at Indiana University.
Mr. Kischuk began his career with Lincoln National Life Insurance Company in 1971 as an actuarial trainee, rising to become actuarial assistant in 1972, and chief pension actuary from 1973 until 1977. He was named assistant vice president at Lincoln National Life Insurance Company in 1977, second vice president in 1980, and vice president from 1982 to 1987. He was named a vice president of Lincoln National Corporation from 1982 to 1986, serving corporate-wide as chief planning officer and chief actuary of life insurance operations. Mr. Kischuk was vice president and director of Lincoln National Health and Casualty Insurance Company, Lincoln National Life Reinsurance Company, and Lincoln National Administrative Services Company from 1985 to 1987. From 1985 to 1987, he also became chief operating officer and director of Lincoln National Intermediaries, Inc., Special Pooled Administrators, Inc., and Underwriting and Management Services, Inc.
Well-regarded in his field, Mr. Kischuk is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries, former member of its board of governors, and former chair of its financial reporting section. He is a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, former chair of its committee on life insurance financial reporting and member of its task force on reinsurance accounting. He is a fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries. He is also a former member of the panel of advisers of the Chartered Life Underwriter Journal and former chair of the Society of Actuaries committee on papers. He has been a frequent speaker and contributor of articles to professional publications, including a foundational paper on risk-based capital for life insurance companies.
