A Cleaner Environment with ecoZinc

A Natural Element to Help Keep You Safe

EcoZinc products are changing the way we interact with our clothes and the environment, for the better.

VENTURA, CA, April 15, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- During this global pandemic, cleanliness and microbial control is imperative. The Sweet Living Group (SLG) and Low Impact (LIT) recognize the importance of innovative textile products and have now partnered to work in developing and manufacturing adaptive technologies.

SLG is positioned in the industry with profound intellectual property and extensive trademarks for the safe and effective ecoZinc technology.

Low Impact and their scientists have been leaders in textile innovation for decades, combining life changing technology into sustainable yarns, fibers and fabrics using recycled polymers diverted out of the waste stream.

The partnership of the two companies is redefining what it means to be a technical textile. With a USA sourced Zinc Oxide formula and careful extrusion processes, Low Impact takes the highly patent protected ecoZinc and embeds it permanently into yarns, fibers and fabrics for an effective yet invisible technology that lasts the life of the garment.

Zinc oxide has a wide range of benefits such as UV protection and inflammation relief while also providing a defense against bacterial growth.

Zinc oxide has been used for generations as a safer, cheaper, and cleaner alternative to Zinc pyrithione and metals for its antibacterial properties. SLG's ecoZinc has powerful anti-UV properties and is GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe by the FDA).

The University of MONS studied the efficacy of embedding nano zinc particles into polymer films and fibers and were able to determine that adding 1% ZnO to PLA polymers and nanocomposites "shows almost perfect UV light shielding efficiency."* They also determined that there was an "excellent antibacterial effect of zinc oxide nanoparticles dispersed within the PLA matrix"** of almost 99.9%, proving that any textiles embedded with ecoZinc will have powerful, proven, antibacterial effects.

Available soon for purchase to the general public, from gloves to protective and outdoor gear. EcoZinc products are changing the way we interact with our clothes and the environment, for the better.
