Presently, Mr. Hayes and his wife are the owners and instructors of a network of SKH Quest Martial Arts Centers throughout the world. During the course of his fulfilling career, he has authored more than 20 books, and appeared in television documentaries, magazines and newspapers for his accomplishments. Mr. Hayes previously apprenticed under ninja master Masaaki Hatsumi in Japan, and served as a personal security escort for the Dalai Lama of Tibet.
Mr. Hayes has earned plentiful recognition as an influential leader in the martial arts field, with several honors and accolades to his name. He is a member of the Black Belt Hall of Fame, was inducted into the Martial Arts History Museum Hall of Honors, and received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Martial Arts Industry Association.
