Laurence Nagel Joins Circuit Seed Technical Advisory Board

Dr. Nagel will be actively involved in the modeling of CiFET devices and the design and simulation of CiFET circuits.

OTTAWA, ON, April 21, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Laurence Nagel has joined InventionShare Inc. as an Associate and serves as the Chair of the Circuit Seed Technical Advisory Board, effective January 2020.

"Larry, AKA 'Dr. Spice', has been a pioneer in the integrated circuit industry for almost fifty years," said Ron Laurie, Executive Chairman of InventionShare.

Dr. Nagel is best known for developing the SPICE circuit simulation program while he was a graduate student at UC Berkeley, but his other career highlights include twenty years at Bell Laboratories where he developed the ADVICE circuit simulation program, participated in the development of the Kull-Nagel bipolar model, designed analog circuit for submicron NMOS processes, and worked in the AT&T Intellectual Property Division on assertion of patents and negotiation of patent licenses. He subsequently joined ANADIGICS where he worked on supporting simulation of RF integrated circuits, modeling and characterization of GaAs MESFET device processes, and importing silicon CMOS design tools and foundry support. He is currently President of Omega Enterprises, a consulting company he founded.

His role as Chair of the Circuit Seed Technical Advisory Board will be to provide technical guidance on further development of CiFET devices and circuits, to take the lead in writing technical articles and presenting technical conference papers on the CiFET technology, and to assist with technical details in the marketing effort of Circuit Seed and its spin-off companies. Dr. Nagel will also be actively involved in the modeling of CiFET devices and the design and simulation of CiFET circuits.

About Circuit Seed
Circuit Seed is an InventionShare portfolio company that enables a new portable family of low power building block circuit designs for processing analog signals in a highly scalable all-digital domain. It is based on a new Complementary Current Field-Effect Transistor (the CiFET) with a channel fusion for fully integrating analog functionality with unique properties while eliminating separate analog chips and external components on the circuit board. Noise is markedly reduced, and sensitivities are considerably increased. The CiFET designs use 100% digital transistor channels to overcome many traditional analog restrictions – including parametric variations and temperature sensitivities. The designs provide an ultra-linear response over an extended dynamic range and the capability of operating at low supply voltages below 800mV with low power consumption at any threshold voltage.

About InventionShare
InventionShare functions as a perpetual and exclusive 'Breakthrough Invention Fund' that creates and develops 'Invention Companies' rather than high risk 'Operating Companies'. This approach dramatically accelerates the adoption of breakthrough technologies by augmenting the innovation pipeline of large global companies – for extraordinary financial outcomes and high social impact. We do this by attracting and representing credible senior inventors with a track record, through our 'inventor friendly' success-based model, and we support, amplify, protect and validate their seminal inventions with non-dilutive financial capital – in stark contrast to operating companies. The dramatic financial and social leverage we achieve is through our deep and distinct intellectual and relationship capital, industry and IP expertise, intelligence tools, process, diligence and discipline.
