Eleanor Pauling wrote and had the honor of having her memoir, "Eleanor Pauling…Who Am I?," published in 2019.

Drawing upon a lifelong passion for art, after retirement from the motel Ms. Pauling served as the owner of Bridges Art Gallery. Since establishing the aforementioned gallery in 2007, she has focused on painting, as well as displaying and marketing art for 30 other local artists. Upon retirement from the gallery she still pursues her career in art now from her studio in her home. Prior to pursuing her love of the arts, Ms. Pauling found success as the owner of Diamond Motel from 1975 until 2002.
Although her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Pauling is especially proud of her exceptional operations of her motel and gallery. Recently, she also wrote and had the honor of having her memoir, "Eleanor Pauling…Who Am I?," published in 2019.
Dedicated to her community, Ms. Pauling contributes in a variety of ways, including advocating for better health care in rural hospitals by creating a petition, which received more than 9,000 signatures and was presented to the legislative Assembly of Ontario.
Ms. Pauling has also flourished as the co-chair of chartering the Zonta Club in Owen Sounds, where she had been active as a member for 25 years. In recognition of her outstanding work, she was recognized as the Volunteer of the Year by the city of Owen Sound in 2007.Through her contributions to the arts she was bestowed the honor to be knighted as Lady Eleanor in the Order of Alexander the Great in 2009. Looking toward the future, Ms. Pauling intends to further foster her love of writing as well as her painting though now in her 83 year.
