Jack A. Phillion Celebrated for Dedication to the Field of Engineering

Mr. Phillion draws on years of expertise in engineering in his consulting and management positions with MetaOps, Karma Automotive and Cooper-Standard Automotive

An esteemed engineer with more than 30 years of experience in release engineering, product assurance, lean production, waste elimination and more, Mr. Phillion serves as a self-employed senior consultant. Most notably Mr. Phillion prides himself on increasing the market share and profit of various companies with an extensive toolkit which helps corporate management identify problems and opportunities. Mr. Phillion is likewise a consultant and the director of supplier engineering for Karma Automotive and a senior manager of NA supplier development for Cooper-Standard Automotive. In his consulting and management positions, he maintains Karma's entire supply base and manages delivery, production part approval process, production resolution and advanced product quality planning (APQP) deliverables for Cooper-Standard.

Before obtaining his current positions, Mr. Phillion worked as a senior quality adviser, the director and an APQP director for MacLean-Fogg Company, where he served from 2014 until 2017. Earlier he gained valuable expertise in internal auditing, succession planning and various aspects of management through executive positions with The Woodbridge Group, and TRW Automotive. At the start of his career, Mr. Phillion served in the U.S. Army Reserve as a first lieutenant during the late-1980s and early-1990s.

In pursuit of his career in engineering, Mr. Phillion earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1985. Subsequently, he received an engineering diploma from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1987 and a Master of Science in administration studies from Central Michigan University in 1989. He retains his professional alignment with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers in order to remain aware of changes in the field. Due to his industry achievements, he has been granted numerous patents, as well as awards through the U.S. Army Reserve. Looking towards the future, Mr. Phillion aims to relax at his time-share in Cancun, Mexico, while continuing his work on a part-time or consultative basis.
