"Going Home" is a beautiful expression of faith, and the contemplation of the end of life
ST. PETERSBURG, FL, June 27, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Brian Howe's team and family have released "Going Home", a song Howe wrote just days before his first cardiac arrest in 2017. Howe softly resisted completing the song over the years, confident the right time would come. Unfortunately, Howe passed away May 6th, 2020 suddenly, leaving several projects in progress; one being the haunting song, "Going Home".
The story told by Howe to his longtime friend and manager Paul Easton, is that he woke in the middle of the night with this song on his mind. He quickly sat and captured the words and tune on paper and recorded it. Just days later, Howe suffered a heart attack, that had many believing he would not survive. But, in true Howe fashion, he proved us wrong and much to our delight, triumphed. Howe resumed his career, writing songs and touring with his band Paul Warren, Christopher Turnbow, Miguel Gonzales and Rick Brothers.
"When Brian shared this song with me, I was a bit speechless," states Easton. "It was an emotional song, significantly different from his normal style." Easton continued, "Going Home" is a beautiful expression of faith, and the contemplation of the end of life. Sadly, Brian's thoughts about the song finding the right time has come to pass."
During his decades long career, Howe was one of the most dynamic musicians in Rock n Roll. Brian Howe became the powerhouse vocalist and writer for the band Bad Company and then forged his successful solo career. It is ever fitting that his last contribution to the music world is one that will generate heart felt memories for countless individuals.
