"The gradual integration of the technologies, know-how and of the employees went as scheduled and we are pleased to now be operating as a single entity." Dr. Ralph Paetzold
KITZINGEN, GERMANY, July 02, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Following the purchase of OPVIUS GmbH by the French industrial manufacturer ARMOR in the fall of 2019, the German player in the field of organic photovoltaics and pioneer of free-form, is becoming ARMOR solar power films GmbH. This name change highlights the final step of a several months-long process of gradual integration. Indeed, last spring, the collaboration between the French and German teams resulted in the joint production of free-form modules from ASCA® organic photovoltaic film by ARMOR.
"When planning our merger with ARMOR, we had imagined which great opportunities would arise from the sharing of our skills. And to see now how these become a reality is extremely satisfying. Thanks to the combination of our complementary expertise, we have the ambition to take the European photovoltaic industry into a new era and to expand the use of OPV technology very widely in the near future," comments Dr. Ralph Paetzold, CEO of ARMOR solar power films GmbH.
"The gradual integration of the technologies, know-how and of the employees went as scheduled and we are pleased to now be operating as a single entity. The use of the one and same name in France and in Germany demonstrates to our international clients our mutual understanding to form a single European company," adds Dr. Ralph Paetzold.
Armor solar power films: a strong and recognized player in the European energy industry:
The integration of OPVIUS into ARMOR was well received, as reflected, among others, by the nomination of the new ARMOR solar power films GmbH entity as nominee of the German Sustainability Award.
