Throughout his career in clinical nursing, Mr. Ocampo worked in a variety of settings, developing a reputation for clinical excellence and compassionate support for not only his patients, but among his colleagues. In 2016, he transitioned to nursing education as a professor for West Coast University, bringing with him more than a decade of professional insights. As a professor, Mr. Ocampo implements curriculum and assessments for pre-service healthcare professionals in a variety of specialties in addition to attending practicum and providing student advising services.
Mr. Ocampo received a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Western Governors University in 2020. He has been honored with a Values in Action Award for his commitment to the nursing profession, and is proud to have worked with progressive California Senator Connie Leyva. An active member of the American Nursing Association, Mr. Ocampo plans to continue teaching nursing at the university level, and continue his dedication to community involvement as a local politician.
