Backed by many years of practiced experience in law, Mr. Botti excels as a partner and a director with McLane Middleton, for which he represents corporations, small businesses and family-owned operations. Additionally, he advises management and business owners in business disputes, shareholder issues, employee discrimination claims and commercial litigation matters. Over the years, he has tried a number of cases in state and federal courts, and appeared before several administrative and legislative agencies such as the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. In 2014, Mr. Botti was also appointed to the Massachusetts Economic Development Planning Council by Governor Charlie Baker in order to develop a written economic development policy for the state and construct a plan for its implementation.
Before his role with McLane, Mr. Botti gained valuable expertise in law as a partner with Donovan Hatem LLP from 2001 until 2009 and a senior associate with Burns & Levinson LLP between 1991 and 2001. Earlier in his career, he completed a superior court clerkship, served as a legal intern for Kopelman and Paige and Thornton & Naumes, and worked as a litigation paralegal with Kelley, Drye and Warren. In pursuit of his career, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in art history from Columbia University in 1983 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Northeastern University in 1991. Subsequently, Mr. Botti was admitted to practice law through the Massachusetts Bar Association, the United States District Court for the District of Oklahoma and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
Mr. Botti remains aware of changes in the field through his affiliation with the Associated Industries of Massachusetts, with which he participates on the board of directors. With the aforementioned organization, he works to foster the interests of Massachusetts employers. Apart from the Associated Industries of Massachusetts, he has aligned himself with the Smaller Business Association of New England, the Boston Bar Association's steering committee on business litigation and the Federal Bar Association. Devoted to his community, Mr. Botti contributes to those in need as a board member for Lazarus House Ministries and a member of the disability regulations committee for the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.
In light of his outstanding body of work, Mr. Botti was honored with the Ambassador Award from the Associated Industries of Massachusetts in 2014.
