Ms. Redente joined the military in 1999, where she first began a career working in construction. However, she realized that her back was not strong enough to carry her into the private sector after the military. In 2004, she retrained into the public affairs career field representing the U.S. Air Force, where she excelled for 15 years. Before retiring as a master sergeant, she was deployed internationally to Afghanistan, Djibouti, and Guam. Ms. Redente is currently active as the communications and talent development manager for Patriot Erectors LLC, a steel fabrication and erection company.
While serving within the armed forces, Ms. Redente pursued a formal education from the Community College of the Air Force, from which she attained an Associate of Arts in construction technology in 2003, and a second Associate of Arts in public affairs in 2007. She later transferred to the University of Maryland University College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications in 2016. Eminently qualified in her field, Ms. Redente is certified in professional management and street photography.
A dedicated civic advocate, Ms. Redente has volunteered as a military liaison for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. She was also a delivery driver for Meals for the Elderly, a parent educator in child development centers, and a fundraising parent for her son's JROTC Booster Club. During her military service, she was notably bestowed with several awards, including the Defense Meritorious Service Medal and the Interagency Visual Media Group's Intelligence Community Award. Presently, she maintains her professional affiliations with the Public Relations Society of America and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Ms. Redente also runs an event planning business, which she hopes to expand in the future with her fiancé as a business partner.
