Keith D. Amparado Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

    NEW YORK, NY, July 14, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Keith D. Amparado with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Mr. Amparado celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. Having accrued 45 years of inimitable experience in his chosen profession, Mr. Amparado has garnered a laudable reputation as a communications company executive. He retired as the assistant director of the central information technology division at New York University (NYU) in 2017. During his 18-year tenure, Mr. Amparado oversaw controls and services, which included change management, information technology service legal agreements, the audit of controls and more.

While active on campus, Mr. Amparado also helmed the Alzheimer's Caregivers' Program as a trained group facilitator at New York University (Washington Square Campus) for over 20 years. He established the support group in order to provide counselling, and referral services on behalf of faculty and staff members. Mr. Amparado drew inspiration in formulating the program from his mother, who was diagnosed with the disease and passed away in 2011.

Prior to joining NYU, Mr. Amparado founded KDA Communications as its president in 1985, where he simultaneously contributed during his initial five years of employment as the company's market research consultant. He likewise oversaw various New York City Board of Education special education projects as a consultant between 1989 and 1996. In respect to consulting, Mr. Amparado has continued to provide his services for the Siloam Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn since 1988. Among his other noteworthy roles, he was aligned in various capacities with several banks, including Manufacturers Hanover Trust as a senior technical editor and European American Bank as a programmer and analyst. Additionally, he provided his expertise to Columbia University as a manager of the Center for Computing Activity.

A dedicated civic advocate, Mr. Amparado has served in a myriad of roles on behalf of SUNY. Currently Past President and as President of the SUNY Empire State College Alumni Student Federation Board of Governors from 2017 to 2019, he was also a member of the Student Retention Steering Committee.as well as a member of the diversity and inclusion program, where he was active with its qualitative research initiative. Furthermore, Mr. Amparado was asked to take a leadership role in the newly established Black Male Initiative (BMI), which promotes and supports educational success initiatives for the most undeserved population in higher education, the African American and Latino male students. In 2001 in remembrance of his parents, Mr. Amparado established the Arcadeo and Sadie J. Browne Amparado Force for Change Scholarship which is dedicated to supporting the educational successes of Black male students. For the last 20 years, Mr. Amparado has also been an active as a volunteer for CaringKind (the former New York City chapter of the Alzheimer's Association), speaking before various groups and local communities regarding the disease.

Prior to embarking upon his professional journey, Mr. Amparado received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Economics graduating cum laude from SUNY in 1988. Aligned with several industry-related organizations since entering his field, he is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators and as a senior member of the Society for Technical Communication. Other professional memberships to his credit include the American Management Association, the American Marketing Association, the Marketing Research Association, the National Association of Desktop Publications and the Qualitative Research Consultants Association. A celebrated Marquis listee, Mr. Amparado has been featured in over 35 editions of Who's Who, including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Media and Communication and Who's Who in the World.
