FORT WORTH, TX, August 18, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Every dog has its day. Thanks to Pet and Family Lifestyle Expert Colleen Paige, the creator of National Dog Day, that day is August 26th.

Page created National Dog Day in 2005 to promote pet adoption, and it has been just as big a hit with pet owners as her other creations: National Mutt Day, National Cat Day and National Puppy Day.

"As part of coping with Corona, many Americans have opened their homes to new dogs, and we want to invite those in Fort Worth to bring their furry friends out to Golden Triangle Dog Park, the area's cleanest free public dog park with dedicated play areas for large and small dogs," said Fort Worth Design District Administrator Jennifer Knittel.

What could be better for a dog than a car ride, play time in the dog park and some shopping at the FW Design District's dog-friendly businesses?" added Knittel.

The approximately 40-acre Fort Worth Design District is home to a variety of creative-type businesses. You will find talented stylists and estheticians at Salon and Spa Galleria, a salon suite rental salon. You can book a session to create an heirloom quality pet portrait with photographer Jenny Braly, whose photography studio is in the district. If you dig the man from La Mancha, you should also check out the Luckenbooth Theatre, whose offices are in the district, and its upcoming adaptation of Don Quixote.

Art lovers will be able to see the prize-winning murals painted by nationally known graffiti artists at the last two annual graffiti art festivals hosted by the district. Selfie enthusiasts will enjoy the Snap and Share Art Walk, a series of interactive murals that invite visitors to take fun photos. The District is also home to the area's cleanest public dog park, Golden Triangle Dog Park, a cool spot that has play areas for both big and small dogs.
