Established in 2007 after working for DiVosta Homes, a home construction company, he learned a tremendous amount of work ethic during those influential years. Beginning as a part-time employee during the summer months, he was later responsible for a significant portion of the business by incorporating and overseeing the landscapes, irrigation and sod division for more than two decades. Coming of age within the industry, Mr. Floyd continues the family tradition through his own successful business, which now employs approximately 500 people and continues to expand annually.
Offering a variety of residential and commercial services, Mr. Floyd's team of professionals work with clients to select the right designs that will meet their unique needs and desires. Born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, Mr. Floyd has enjoyed contributing to his community. Most notably, he has been active as a volunteer for the Family First organization. He pursued a formal education at the University of Florida in the school of agriculture, graduating in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in ornamental horticulture. Eminently qualified in his field, Mr. Floyd has also since obtained a Florida state irrigation license.
Noting that his company's success has been grounded on a solid reputation for quality work, Mr. Floyd has enjoyed exponential growth in recent years with a 37% influx in business during 2018, followed by another 40% in 2019. When he does finally decide to retire, he hopes that his son, who currently serves as the company's chief financial officer, will assume control of the business and continue maintaining the same level of excellence that it was founded upon. To support his professional endeavors, Mr. Floyd has been a member of the Florida Nursery and the Growers and Landscape Association. In recognition of his achievements, Impact Landscaping has notably been named to the Top 100 list by Lawn and Landscaping for its successes for 2017-2018.
