Local Opera Singer Maren Montalbano Announces the Bodice Ripper Project One-Woman Show to be performed during the 2020 Philadelphia Fringe Festival

Bodice Ripper Project's interactive format allows audience input to dictate the outcome of the show in a choose-your-own-adventure format.

I want to show other artists that they don't have to wait for organizations to hire them to get their art out into the world. - Maren Montalbano

PHILADELPHIA, PA, September 15, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- As the doors of creative houses are closed and thousands of performers are out of work, Maren Montalbano took a chance on herself leaning in on the opportunity to make a full pivot with her one-woman show the Bodice Ripper Project.

Originally created to be showcased in an intimate, cabaret-style setting, the Bodice Ripper Project will now move to a fully digital platform produced by Maren herself.

"There are too many stories circulating about performers who are out of work and with no income and I want my project to be considered the antithesis to that. I'm employing people in the arts. I'm being creative. Even with technical hurdles and the fear of doing something new, I want to show other artists that they don't have to wait for organizations to hire them to get their art out into the world." – Maren Montalbano

Join Maren as she shares her intimate secrets and reveals that romance novels have been not only a source of entertainment but also a tool of healing for her after experiencing sexual abuse during her childhood.

The Bodice Ripper Project live stream is scheduled for October 2 & 3 at 8 pm Eastern and October 4 at 1 pm Eastern with original music by Melissa Dunphy. Tickets are $10 and available for purchase here. The link to the live stream will be provided after ticket purchase.
