From a young age, Mr. Cummings has harbored an interest in architecture and design. Later in his life, he managed to sell a house he had bought for a large profit and began looking into renovations and real estate. Flipping 20 houses in Los Angeles, California, he eventually obtained a real estate license in 2004. With a Bachelor of Science in mass communications, Mr. Cummings shifted his career path to become the principal and founder of John & Ryan, Real Estate Group.
Currently in his career, Mr. Cummings and his team work under the brokerage of HK Lane | Christie's International Real Estate. Civically, he fundraises for the Desert AIDS Project and hosts charity car washes for local food banks and LGBTQ centers. Likewise, Mr. Cummings has organized a team to remove graffiti from local hiking trails in Palm Springs, California.
Before embarking on his real estate career journey, Mr. Cummings worked in the television industry as a Producer/Director. Before graduating college, he was hired as a camera assistant on the MTV show "The Real World." He pitched the idea of a Semester At Sea that would be filmed on the sister show "Road Rules." The executive producer liked Mr. Cummings' idea and later hired him as a cameraman, allowing him to travel the world on Semester At Sea while also getting paid, a dream come true.
As a respected real estate professional, Mr. Cummings' homes have been featured in El Décor Magazine, Money Magazine, West Los Angeles Living Magazine and on HGTV. Over the years, he has gained expertise in real estate negotiation skills and long-term pros and cons. As the leader of his company, he is active as the problem solver for his staff. Mr. Cummings also educates team members and offers property management services.
For his stellar efforts in real estate, Mr. Cummings was featured in Top Agent Magazine.
Additionally, he was honored as a "Top Realtor 2020" based on sales volume by Palm Spring Life Homes Magazine. Throughout his career, he has attributed his professional success to the knowledge and experience he has garnered, as well as the relationships he has built with his clients. Ultimately, he has been incredibly grateful for the life he has been able to build for himself and his family, as his business is well-respected in the community, and grown to employ 10 agents in two locations.
