Addressing the Future of Work & Business in Minnesota

Futurist and author Jack Uldrich will join Christy Sovereign of Accenture and Dr. Richard Migliori of United HealthGroup in discussing the future of business and work in Minnesota with moderator Chris Farrell of American Public Media's Marketplace.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN, September 17, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Economics Club of Minnesota will host a panel event on Friday, September 18, to discuss the future of business and work in the state.

Who better to help address the future than a Global Futurist who happens to make his home in Minnesota?

Jack Uldrich, a former naval intelligence officer and Director of the Office of Strategic Planning under Jesse Ventura, will join panelists Christy Sovereign and Dr. Richard Migliori to discuss the economy.

What's Uldrich's take? He believes Minnesotans are on the precipice of significant change. He's of the mind that a 'great reset' needs to take place. He says, "as we move forward, economically speaking; there's going to have to be a tremendous amount of unlearning in the corporate sector. The whole world is facing crises of untold proportions these days. Agility and humility will be critical factors in generating the best future possible."

Uldrich also favors stakeholder theory over shareholding.

On Friday's panel, he will hone in on "a way to help businesses understand the economic imperative of allowing employees to bring their whole selves to work."

He wants businesses not merely to survive the current crises; he wants them to thrive. To do that, he feels leaders need to "reconnect with the softer skills of creativity, curiosity, imagination, empathy, and love."

Uldrich's perspective on the panel will surely enlighten and enliven the conversation moderated by Chris Farrell, host of Marketplace from American Public Media.

Futurist Jack Uldrich is a highly sought after keynote speaker. As the author of over eleven books, he regularly addresses businesses, associations, and non-profit organizations in the health care, retailing, energy, and education industries.
