Prior to obtaining her current role, she gained valuable expertise in the same role with Pine Ridge Indian Health Service in South Dakota and in private practice in Puerto Rico, where she worked for more than a decade and a half. In order to remain aware of ongoing industry changes, Dr. Gonzalez Del Rio been affiliated with the American Academy of Pediatrics throughout the course of her professional journey.
An expert in her field, Dr. Gonzalez Del Rio earned a Doctor of Medicine from Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo in 1989. Apart from her work with children, she enjoys exercising, loves writing poems in Spanish and is currently teaching herself to play piano.
