Judy Sue Dixson has been Inducted into the Prestigious Marquis Who's Who Biographical Registry

Ms. Dixson celebrates professional excellence in the field of education



    CLOVIS, CA, October 06, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Judy Sue Dixson has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Supported by more than two decades of professional experience, Ms. Dixson, now retired, found success as a teacher at the Manchester Gifted and Talented Education Elementary School in Fresno, California, from 1983 to 2002. A teacher of grades three through five for the Fresno Unified School District between 1966 and 2002, she was a teacher leader at the California Elementary Mathematics Initiative in Sacramento, California, from 1994 until 1995 and a lead teacher at the California Science Implementation Network in Fresno between 1993 and 1994. Ms. Dixson began her career as a mentor teacher for the Fresno Unified School District in 1985.

Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Dixson pursued an education at California State University, Fresno, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in biology in 1966. Beyond her primary responsibilities, she contributed as a tutor at the Samaritan Women, as well as the master teacher of the National Teacher Training Institute in Fresno from 1994 to 1995 and a member of San Joaquin Valley Mathematics Project in 1992. Formerly a certified teacher in the state of California, Ms. Dixson remains active with the California Retired Teachers Association.

Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Ms. Dixson served as a deacon at the New Covenant Community Church in Fresno from 2013 to 2017. Involved with the church's care team since 2003, she notably excelled as the secretary of the group since 2015. In her free time, Ms. Dixson enjoys participating in such activities as quilting and knitting.

With a plethora of knowledge at her disposal, Ms. Dixson has authored a number of educational materials. A recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, she was selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who's Who of American Women and the fifth edition of Who's Who in Education. Ms. Dixson considers the highlight of her impressive career to be watching her former students grow in their respective career paths and excel in life.
