NASHVILLE, IN, October 08, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jerry Bell has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
After serving as a combat engineer in the U.S. Army between 1967 and 1970, Mr. Bell worked in a factory for the following five years. Subsequently, he joined the Columbus Fire Department, with which he was a firefighter and paramedic and ultimately became captain over the course of more than 30 years. During this time, Mr. Bell also gained valuable expertise in the field through the National Guard.
While enlisted in the U.S. military, he enrolled in community college. More than 20 years later, Mr. Bell completed coursework in fire science and became designated as a master firefighter through the National Fire Academy.
In order to remain aware of changes in his community, Mr. Bell was affiliated with the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans. In honor of his bravery in the military, he was presented with a Bronze Star for Heroism. He passed away on September 8, 2020.
