Dr. Kenneth Dale Beaman Celebrated for Dedication to the Fields of Scientific Research and Education

Dr. Beaman lends decades of expertise in microbiology and immunology to his work with the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Sciences



Dr. Kenneth Dale Beaman is especially proud of the infertility and implantation failure research he has conducted and the grants he has obtained in excess of $1.5 million.

    GURNEE, IL, October 08, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Kenneth Dale Beaman has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Drawing upon nearly 45 years of professional expertise, Dr. Beaman excels as professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, director of the Clinical Immunology Laboratory and program chair of the Clinical Postdoctoral Training Program at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Sciences, which was formerly known as Chicago Medical School. In his work with the university, he is currently overseeing a number of postdoctoral students and conducting a considerable amount of COVID-19 tests.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Beaman parlayed his expertise to the American Journal of Reproductive Immunology as editor-in-chief and several research endeavors. Over the years, he has also gained valuable expertise in education and research with Yale University, The Ohio State University, Fairview General Hospital, the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and Colorado State University, among others. Although his career has been filled with highlights, he is especially proud of the infertility and implantation failure research he has conducted and the grants he has obtained in excess of $1.5 million. Due to his extensive research, he has obtained patents for a cDNA Clone for T-cell suppressor inducer factor and the production, purification and clinical applications of an immune suppressor factor.

Before embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Beaman earned a Bachelor of Science in microbiology from Colorado State University in 1975. From there, he received a Master of Science in biology from Cleveland State University in 1977, a Doctor of Philosophy in microbiology and immunology from The Ohio State University and pursued postdoctoral work in the Department of Pathology at Yale University. He remains aware of ongoing changes in the field via his alignment with the American Association of Clinical Laboratory Immunologists, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Society of Microbiology, the American Association of Immunologists, the American Society of Clinical Pathology and the International Society for Immunology of Reproduction.

With a plethora of knowledge at his disposal, Dr. Beaman has authored hundreds of articles in professional journals alongside other scholars in the field. Throughout his career, he has authored such publications as "The metabolic pathways of Acholeplasma and Mycoplasma," "Peptide mapping and amino acid analysis of T-cell antigen binding molecules" and "Identification of anti-lymphocyte antibodies by flow cytometric analysis or microlymphocytotoxicity in women with recurrent spontaneous abortions immunized with paternal leukocytes."

In recognition of his outstanding body of work, Dr. Beaman has been honored many times, earning the National Research Service Award through the National Institutes of Health between 1982 and 1985 and an American Society for Reproductive Immunology Award. Publications such as Who's Who in the Midwest and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America have also featured him for his work. In the near future, Dr. Beaman intends to experience the continued success of his career and the growth of his research.
