Dr. Yansick, CA, DOM(FL) has 23 years of experience in the public health sector in a variety of roles. He has been with Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center-Hamilton for nearly four years as a respiratory therapist, and also in the last year has joined the integrative team to help and educate on numerous benefits of Oriental Medicine.
Yansick's expertise is in state-of-the-art treatment options in acupuncture and Eastern medicine including herbology, specialized oils, massage, electro-magnetic heat, electronic stimulation, laser, ultrasound, moxibustion, suction-cupping, steam, chelation, and the establishment of dietary guidelines. Yansick combines a healthy dose of compassion and kindness in his style of treatment. The needles are 'hair thin,' painless, and sterile, and each is used only once. They are state-of-the-art disposable needles. A typical treatment may be four to 20 needles, depending on the condition being addressed, as well as the age of the patient. In select states Dr. Yansick, CA, DOM(FL) may be able to provide AIT (acupuncture injection therapy). Between providing private, specialized care for established patients, Yansick provides office visits, house calls and consultations.
Additionally, Dr. Yansick, CA is at work on a book concerning the beneficial effects of Taoism on health and longevity and seeks to demystify Eastern healing practices and familiarize a large audience with the many advantages of these previously obscure techniques, many of which have been passed down in the 'oral tradition' and are not in abundance in print. Yansick hopes to help the physician as well as the patient with this material. James attributes his success in life, with all the joys and sadness that go with it, to his greatest teacher, his mother, a deeply spiritual person with Native American roots, who devoted her life to her Spiritual Master and to the 'magic' of simple kindness to every human being she encountered. She passed in an 'aware' state last year. She was, and still is, a constant inspiration to her student, and son.
Yansick's entry into the world of Eastern medicine began with chronic back pain, not relieved by any western modality. He then turned to Acupuncture at the suggestion of a friend. His back pain was gone in two treatments. After witnessing the rejuvenating power of these treatments, Yansick returned to a 4 year program of study in Oriental medicine, graduating in 1998, so he could share this potent form of healing with anyone seeking it. Yansick notes that seeing his patients recover is the most gratifying aspect of his career.
With 10 years of post-secondary education, Dr. Yansick, CA, DOM(FL) holds three degrees, certifications and several health care licenses. He has dedicated his life to learning how to take care of others, as well as teaching them to care for themselves. He is conferred as a doctor of Oriental Medicine in the State of Florida (current). He holds a Master's Degree in Oriental Medicine which he received in Santa Fe from the IICM. He is a Certified Acupuncturist in New Jersey and a Registered Acupuncturist in Pennsylvania. In all states Yansick is a Diplomate of Acupuncture as set forth by the NCCAOM. Yansick is board qualified in Chinese Herbology through the National Commission for Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Dr. Yansick, CA, DOM(FL) is most active with the American Association for Respiratory Care, the National Board for Respiratory Care and the National Commission for Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
