NEWARK, NJ, October 14, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) virtual event has been scheduled for October 26-29, 2020. This four-day online event will bring together innovative leaders in corporate and social responsibility focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Academic, student, corporate, and NGO participants are invited for a solution-forward conversation on responsible management education toward sustainable economics, environment, social and cultural future. Keynote speakers and interactive sessions will provide diverse insight on the 17 goals adopted by the U.N. General Assembly for their 2030 Agenda in Sustainable Development.

The PRME event will be hosted by Rutgers Business School and its Institute for Corporate Social Innovation (RICSI), co-sponsored by the UN Principles for Responsible Management Education (UN PRME), the NJ Higher Education Partnership for Sustainability (NJHEPS); the Silberman College of Business, Fairleigh Dickinson University; the Anisfield School of Business, Ramapo College; and William G. Rohrer College of Business, Rowan University.

"In light of the new AACSB Standards on social impact, this conference will be a great way to share, learn, and connect with others who are committed to social impact at universities around the U.S. and the world," said Jeana Wirtenberg, Ph.D. and Associate Director at Rutgers Institute for Corporate Social Innovation.

The event will kick off on Monday, 10/26 with a nod to the Meatless Monday (MM) global movement, now in more that 40 countries. The movement can be leveraged to achieve many of the Sustainable Development Goals such as the support of local farmers, building sustainable communities, responsible consumption and climate change. MM will be in collaboration with Master Chef James Corwell, keynote speaker providing a vegetarian recipe for the event. Meatless Monday Campaign Director Dana Smith will offer opening remarks on how plant-based eating can do a world of good.
